He didn't really think it mattered if she saw him as a threat or not. Even if he was normally a killer. Which was always possible. Today, right now, this night, he felt calm. Nothing could shatter this tranquillity. He found a temporary balance. It felt great.
Shaun smiled. Just because he could. He knew it was his smile that could deceive people. But not today, today it was just ... there.
"A girl, hmm. Explains why she likes me so much, she just can tell I'm one handsome creature" He said with a smirk and a proud eye brow raise. As if impressed with himself.
When you knew someday you'd die because of a incurable infection, it was important to keep the ego flowing. To keep the spirit, the fire, the desire to be alive. Shaun was good at it. Some of the infected didn't like him because of his optimistic view on life. But really it was just a matter of acceptance, not optimism.
"do you have a vending machine around here?" he asked bluntly.

If Brynn had been drinking anything, she was sure she would have spit it all over the place. It was hard to suppress her laughter. His ego seemed funny, it must be a guy thing, they all seemed to think they were the hottest thing alive and that no girl, or in this case, dolphin could resist them. "I'm sure that's it." she agreed sarcastically. "She follows around the schools of fish to ya know." Brynn told him. She was staring into the tank watching Skye, along with all of her 'tank mates'.
"No vending machines," Brynn assured him tearing her gaze from the contents of the tank and looking back at Shaun. "There is a concession stand on the upper level though." She hesitated in telling him this. If her boss knew what was going on this late, he'd have her hide.

"Of course thats it" He said jokingly with a wink. Followed by a faint snicker.
"AUWH! No venndie. I want eats." He said looking over at her. He put a hand on his tummy. "Shaun needs to get his grub on. Hmm concession stand? Wouldn't that be locked and like.. unhelpful by now?" He said tilting his head with a slight frown, a frown of thoughtfulness.
"So.. I'm assuming you're still a little intimidated by my suspicious nature. Seeing as how you still haven't told me you're name, Brynn" He said as if it wasn't a big deal that he already knew her name. As mentioned previously, he had come here before and seen her a few times already. And just so happened to figure out her name in the process.
He got a small spazz attack and made a weird noise with his mouth. "pssht-zzz-zzz-zzzz-woopah" And stopped. With a 'It-Wasn't-Me' look on his face.

What was he a little kid? Who talked like that? The answer was obvious, Shaun. Despite the fact it made him seem childish, it also made him seem a bit helpless, and one thing she couldn't stand was someone who needed her help. What a great weakness right? Someone makes a pouting face at you or talks childish and you feel a deep urge to get them what they need. She sighed knowing in the long run she was going to give in, "I have the --" she stopped in mid sentence, she had the keys that hung from her lanyard in her fist. Had he just said her name.
He eyes widened in shock, "What are you? My stalker?" The expression on Brynn's face was pinched, almost like she was struggling to keep back tears, although it was the face she made when trying to comprehend something that frightened her. She avoided his gaze now, turning her back to him. It didn't matter now, if he was going to do something to her it wasn't going to matter if she was facing him or not, she'd rather not see it coming.
Brynn abruptly turned to face Shaun when she heard a strange noise coming from his direction. She couldn't help but laugh, it was uncontrollable. His face was impossible to be scared of. She cupped her hand over her moth and laughed into it. After a few seconds she cleared her throat and regained her composure.

He looked back into the tank briefly.
"What are you? My stalker?"
His expression when from neutral to 'Are-Kidding-Me' expression. Aside from the fact that I've been before, you work here, you have a name tag, I guess I could be a stalker." He said with a laugh.
After having made his spazz noise, she apparently found funny and had her own laugh spazz attack. Although regained her composer quite fast.
"You knoow, that if you really that uncomfortable with me being here I suppose I coul--- Actually... Maybe I should leave." He said looking at her a little more uneasily now. For all he knew she could be planned to call the cops. And those were the last kind of humans he wanted any kind of contact with. Not to mention after all this contact things still didn't seem to be going as smoothly as he would have expected.
Inside he hit himself in the forehead with his palm for being idiotic and even reviling himself in the first place. Something to actually be more so ashamed off. Attempting to make contact or a friend with a human. He must have been out of his mind.
He slowly looked from her to the tank and was basicly giving a silent good-bye to Skye. He was a little too nervous by now to say anything else. And with that he quietly turned to begin walking toward the shadows again, to find his way out. The way he snuck in. His heart was beating slightly faster at the slight increased anxiety. He was dumb for making a remark like that to her.

Brynn had taken none of those facts into consideration. But had he truly seen her name tag, her hand writing wasn't the best and it was rather small. You'd think a place like this would shell out some money to have real name tags made rather than the ones you had to write your name on, peel off of a sticker sheet, and put on your shirt. How unprofessional.
"You don't have to leave," she said. Yes, she was still a tad uncomfortable, but she'd turned her back to and he'd done nothing. That had to count for something, and what sort of murder or rapist makes jokes with their victims? None that Brynn had ever heard of that was for sure. Usually they just jumped them or caught the off guard, and Shaun had had plenty of those chances. Come to think of it, what kind of criminal would tell someone there name when they had probably factored in that they might not be victorious, and that their victim would probably go to the police. Strange.
"To be honest," she hesitated before speaking the last words, "your company is sort of nice. Hell, any company is nice." Brynn was silent, she felt her stomach growl, it hadn't been audible the first time, but the second time it seemed that it roared through the silence. "If you're staying, I guess my stomach has decided it's time for me to eat something, and you're welcome to join . . . Mr. Stalker." There she went, letting her guard down again, but he didn't seem like too much of a threat anymore, especially after that odd noise he had made, whatever it had been.

You don't have to leave,"
"To be honest," she hesitated slightly, "your company is sort of nice. Hell, any company is nice."
He stopped in his tracks, didn't turn around right away but instead just looked ahead of him and wondered if he should still just go anyways. But at the same time he felt like that might be kinda mean now. Blink-blink. He turned around and stared toward her. His heartbeat slowing down. He had not even thought of the fact that maybe his eyes were still in the light state. But just continued to ask as if things were.. alright by the looks of it.
"..I guess it can get lonely here at night eh?" He conversed.
"If you're staying, I guess my stomach has decided it's time for me to eat something, and you're welcome to join . . . Mr. Stalker."
Shaun made a 'Hmm' expression for about 6 seconds before snickering. "How could I say no?"

"Eh it does," she nodded and proceeded up the stairs. She wasn't even positive if Shaun was following, yet she kept talking. If he wasn't she would just seem crazy, even though there was no one around to spread the word that she had lost her mind and was talking to people who weren't there. "but, I'm not usually here this late. I'm not even sure 'how late' it is. I'm usually out of here around eight-thirty, or nine. We close at 7, but of course you don't pay attention to that." she snickered. Before she knew it she had made it up the stairs. Her fear of them was still there, but it was easy to ignore when there was someone with you. That's why it was easier to patrol the aquarium during the day when there were people around. Most were in awe at the captive sea life, you'd think it would get old right? It never really did, unless you weren't fond of the animals that took residence unwillingly in these tanks.
If Brynn were water dweller, she knew that she wouldn't mind it here. You got fed, washed, and visitors everyday. That had to be the life. I'm sure things go lonely to them, but who didn't get lonely. Cats, dogs, and birds, they all got lonely, or at least missed their owners when they were away.
Brynn approached the locked entrance of the concession stand. She fumbled through the key hanging from her lanyard until she found one marked 'con - 1'. She pushed the key into the lock and turn it, unlocking the door. She entered and placed her elbow on the counter.

Shaun shrugged inwardly and followed her. Although he wouldn't be surprised if she thought he had stayed because he was just so quiet when he walked. He was used to sneaking around for the last 10 years of his life, no use stopping now.
"Your usually here till closing though.. aren't you?" He quirked his brow. If she said no, he was lying. For the most part. For Shaun had only been sneaking into the aquarium for the past 4 months and he had seen her there after hours more than not. Maybe he was just weird and just so happened to be there when she was there late. Maybe he was just hallucinating sometimes? Who knew. Anything was possible.
Still within shadow range of her, he kept behind her silently, not yet saying another word. For slight fear that someone else could just so happen to be here late like her and hear Shaun's voice. And he'd wither have to knock them out or he'd have to run. Neither did he wish to do. Finally as they entered the concession room. He stepped in and stood about 2-3 feet from the entrance and just tilted his head and glanced around and took in the way the people on closing shift had left the place. He sighed quietly, he missed having a job. He missed cleaning like you had a duty to fulfill.
"Well.. Thanks for letting me join you in here" He continued to look around. "I was kinda worried you were gonna call back up or security on me yano. Ionno." He said in with a nervous awkward chuckle.
His eyes rested when they fell upon a beverage fridge. His side grin came into view as he looked at the raspberry flavoured water. He mouth watered slightly before he lookd back at her and just tilted his head. He was not about to just help himself before she suggested something or did so first.
