Two weeks had passed since Sebastion last saw Lily. He put on the same ragged coat he had worn that day and grabbed his messenger bag and quickly ran out of the hideout using the passage he found shortly after he first arrived in the hideout.
Arriving soon after in the rougher side of the town, Bastion hurried to where he ran into Lily and took a seat on the nearby bench pulling his hood tightly over his head making sure to cover his face as well as possible. He tensed as he heard someone approach he took off one of his gloves and readied himself to gas whoever approached if they were hostile.

Back to the hick town. Lily had been scared that she wouldn't be able to get back here in time to meet her brother, therefore losing him again. After leaving him the last time Lily had gone to Italy for a competition. She had been called a few days before it started and agreed because, well it was a free trip to Italy. It had been going good, until her partner wanted to change on of the lifts at last moment. Lily said yes under bad judgment. Around the world was one of the hardest lifts when practiced heavily. Lily and Ben practiced two times before they were up. In front of the judges and audience, Ben dropped her. Well in a around the world lift it's more like flung her. Her shoulder was dislocated and she was told not to dance for about two months.
So now Lily was walking to the place were she had seen her brother. You could see the wrapping of Lily's shoulder from her sleeve. She had a bag on her other shoulder. She finally came to the spot where she had first seen her twin brother. She saw someone sitting on the bench. It was Bastion, she knew it. Lily sat next to him, silence for a moment, but then speaking. "I read the notebooks."

Sebastion eased up slightly but keeping the glove off in case any visitors showed up.
"Good. You know why I couldn't come home now right?" He looked at her, his icy blue eyes staring straight through her. He looked past her to make sure no one was watching and scratched his head, flakes of dandruff falling out of his unkempt hair.

"Good. You know why I couldn't come home now right?" Lily sighed. "Yeah, I understand now." In a way she wished that she didn't. The thinks she had learned about her brother were so.... awful. She couldn't believe that Lily had let him go through that. She should have found him. She should have saved him. But she couldn't. At 15 she had just been to scared to do anything. What if she found him dead? What it they would take her too? What if he hadn't been taken and he had just ran away. When Bastion's... infection started Lily had been scared of him. She hadn't told him, how could she? But she was sure he knew. She wasn't as close to him. She just needed some time to get over it. She hadn't even gotten a change to make sure he knew that she loved him before he was.... he was gone.
"Seb..." She began. She had never been one to talk about her feelings or anything. "I love ya. I thought I would never see you again. I thought you had died. Everyone told me to give up on you, and I wouldn't. But I started to believe it. I started to believe you were dead and that you died thinking I thought you were a freak. That has to have been what you thought I was thinking. I didn't though... I was just confused." She said it all in almost one breath. She had been rehursing that ever since she fininshed reading the phobos, as he called them.

He hugged her, holding her close enough so he could smell her perfume. "Lil... It's okay. I understand. Its not like I was the easiest to deal with before the infection. They were right though. Back then I was a monster, a freak... And whatever else they said." he stopped hugging her and turned around not wanting to face her.
Guilt wracked his hidden face and tears welled in his eyes. "I could've said something though... I kept telling myself you had moved after I disappeared. That Mom and Dad just up and left. I was a fool. It was a stupid excuse. I could have made contact somehow..."

"Lil... It's okay. I understand. Its not like I was the easiest to deal with before the infection. They were right though. Back then I was a monster, a freak... And whatever else they said." Lily shook her head as he said that. "No, no you weren't," She said softly. He might have been diffrent, but he wasn't a freak. At least he could stand out in a crowd. Lily was so.. normal. Sure, she was good at dancing and was told she was pretty but other then that she was no different then anyone else.
"I could've said something though... I kept telling myself you had moved after I disappeared. That Mom and Dad just up and left. I was a fool. It was a stupid excuse. I could have made contact somehow..." "I wish you would have sooner." Lily took a deep breath. It was time for him to know how life went on after he was gone. "No, I could never have moved on. Mom and dad found it a bit easier though. Dad took to drinking since his 'golden boy' was gone. He didn't really like having only a ballerina as a daughter. Two or three months after you were gone mom told me she was pregnant, a baby boy she said. I got pretty mad, and started yelling." Lily had such a calm personality that you know she's mad when she's yelling. "Dad told me I was 'out of line.' I just yelled more. 'You think that now that Sebs gone you can replace him with another baby?' I yelled. "Then you should replace me to.' I ran away for a day or two until the cops found me. Eight months later Jared was born. Mom had a baby to keep her mind busy and Dad and drinking, but I thought about you every moment of everyday. I wondered where you, if you were ok...." Lily thought that was enough of the past that he had missed for the moment.

Sebastion smiled and he wiped the faint tears from his eyes. "Dad took to drinking since his 'golden boy' was gone." Sebastion laughed. "Golden boy huh? That's a new one. "
His smile faded though. "I want to know more... Theres a little diner about a mile from here that we'd be safe at... Do you have a car?" He looked deep in her eyes so she knew how badly he wanted this.

"Golden boy huh? That's a new one." Lily smiled. Ok so maybe he wasn't a golden boy but he was his son. Dad always liked Seb better. He didn't care much for the little girl who liked to dance.
"I want to know more... Theres a little diner about a mile from here that we'd be safe at... Do you have a car?" Lily nodded. "Yeah its a little ways down the street." She stood up, and rubbed the shoulder that she stupidly just put weight on. Lily ran through what Seb had just said again. She raised an eyebrow. "Why aren't we safe here?"

Sebastion laughed. "You haven't spotted them? Three guys are tailing me. One near that lampost to the left, One across the street at the bus stop and one in the vestibule of the building on our right." He looked at her sternly.
Scanning the three men and the area he tried to think of the best exit strategy. The man at the bus stop and lamppost were easily taken care of but the man in the vestibule was a marksmen. He would have to take him out first and rescue Lily after he took him down. He hated doing it but it was the only way to survive. Pulling out a hankerchief he handed it to Lily. "Lily, listen carefully. When I walk away I want you to walk towards the bus stop. The man at the light post will follow you and one of them will grab you. When that happens I'll be there. I want you to count to 50, take a deep breath, put that hankerchief over your mouth and dont breathe until I say you can." His smile faded.
Sebastion turned and walked off towards the vestibule waiting for Lily to cross the street.

"You haven't spotted them? Three guys are tailing me. One near that lampost to the left, One across the street at the bus stop and one in the vestibule of the building on our right." Lilys eyes widened. She looked and sure enough saw the three guys. Her heart started to pound. What was she getting herself into? This was quite diffrent from the life she was used to. Dancing and modeling didn't really have any side effects.
"Lily, listen carefully. When I walk away I want you to walk towards the bus stop. The man at the light post will follow you and one of them will grab you. When that happens I'll be there. I want you to count to 50, take a deep breath, put that hankerchief over your mouth and dont breathe until I say you can." "But wha...." He walked away before she could finish. Truthfully she had no idea what was going on, and she was scared as all hell. One. Two. Three. Lilys heart was about to explode. Fourty-nine. Fifty. Lily did as he said. The high heals she wore clicked on the pavement as she walked. Suddenly she felt someone grab a hold of her. Lily let out a short scream, but she remembered that she was told not to breath. She felt the guys hand go over her mouth with a cloth of his own. Then she smelled something weird, and started to feel weak. Her body went limp and she hung on the edge of passing out, with the thought in her mind to keep holding her breath.

Sebastion got the drop on the man in the vestibule, subduing him silently and deliberately. He turned on his heels and saw the two men, one of which holding Lily's limp body.
"Shit shit shit shit shit." He cursed as he ran. He leaped through the air and landed on one of the men and tore at his throat not caring about subtlety and released the Phobos, which due to his anger manifested in a dark sanguine gas instead of its normal transparent form.
The second man inhaled the fumes and his eyes widened with horror. He let out a horrible scream before Sebastion snapped his neck. Bastion leaned over and picked up lily her small body barely making him flex. He took her to where she said her car was and put her in the back seat and searched for her keys. He started the car and drove to the diner. During the drive he turned on the radio and found a station that was playing classical music. The song changed and a smile crossed Sebastion's face. Beethoven's 9th. He used to play it on piano while lily danced when they were kids. He snapped back into reality just as the diner came into view. he pulled in the parking lot and reached over to try and wake Lily.
"Lil, rise and shine, its time to eat." He smiled and said this soothingly, betraying his rough voice and strong physique.

Fainting is a funny thing. Depending on the events leading toward said faint the mind could bring up random memorys. Lily was used to fainting. She was far from anorexic but she did skip meals. Lose a pound here and there. Also with her busy life sometimes she just forgot about eating. Combine that and heavy dance practices and you have fainting from time to time. This was different though. She wasn't completely out, just in a limbo. Her eyes were closed and she was limp but she could vaguely know what was going on. Then she heard the music. Her mind took off with it.
She was transported to when she was a young girl. It was a snow day and the twins were having great fun. Lily was running around in her pink leotard and tutu, Seb was playing on the piano. Lily was dancing to his songs. Dancing and dancing and dancing. She was spinning when she heard a voice. "Lil, rise and shine, its time to eat." Lily opened her eyes slowly. It felt like she hadn't slept in days. "I'm not three anymore." She said and sat up. She rubbed her sore shoulder. "Mind telling me what that was about?"

Sebastion smiled as her eyes opened. "Glad to see you're waking up." "Mind telling me what that was about?" "Um yeah... That was what we call, a situation." He smiled. "But all is well and we're at the diner."
Sebastion opened his door and got out in a flash so he could open Lily's door. "Let's eat, sis." He walked into the diner and took a seat in the most inconspicuous spot he could find. Waiting for Lily he opened a menu.

"Um yeah... That was what we call, a situation. But all is well and we're at the diner." "Ever so descriptive," Lily said under her breath. She didn't feel like telling she she was not at all hungry and would therefore not be eating. She would most likely make up a story about how she had already eat or something.
"Let's eat, sis." Lily shook her head and got up and fallowed him into the diner. She sat down across from him. "So, whats with all the hiding? You keep your hood up, you hide in the diner..." He sure had changed since she last knew him.

Sebastion looked at her. "The hiding is because the Scientists are still after me and the other infected. They want us more than a politician wants an intern," he smiled at his poorly thought up humor knowing that it was a sign he needed food and sleep.
He ordered a coke to drink and eyed the menu looking for something to eat. "Lil, you hungry?" Sebastion looked worried. "You look like you don't eat often."
Sebastion put the menu down. "Alright we've been talking about me long enough. What else has happened since I left?" He slumped back in his seat actually relaxing.
